Mes motivations:
I have participated in the 24hour Tremblant for several years and each year I am impressed by the generosity of people that support me and this effort. I am equally impressed by how these funds get invested in Ottawa and Gatineau to have a direct and significant impact on kids and their families. I can assure all supporters that these donations are meaningful and make a difference.
Last year, the Senators Foundation reached more than 60,000 kids through our program investments.
Jen and I are lucky to have 3 healthy kids that are loved and afforded every opportunity to be active, engaged and successful in life. The stark reality in our city is that most kids and families are not so lucky. I have been to Sens Camp where kids can live freely and enjoy life-enriching experiences, where kids dealing with cancer and treatments can just be kids and swim, play and catch fish. I have spent time at Roger Neilson House where families can be supported with the special health resources and love that they need at the most difficult times. And I have tied skates for kids that would otherwise never know what it is like to own a pair of skates (let alone skis!) and participate in skating lessons.
So, thank you for continuing to support me and the Sens Foundation Ski Team - we are a small part of a bigger picture that is 24h Tremblant. But the collective is real and relevant.
Thanks,
Jonathan
