My motivations for participating in the 24H Tremblant event stem from my little cousin's brave battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Seanny was 3 years old when he was diagnosed. His joyous smile, pleasant demeanor, and his love of Lego made it easy to forget the challenges that such a young child dealt with on a daily basis.
Despite a relentless fight (which included multiple periods of remission -- and relapse), Seanny lost his battle one year ago this month. While he may have earned his angel wings, his memory cannot be forgotten.
Two years ago, I asked for your support as I shaved my head in support of Leucan. Such amazing work has been done to push critical research forward, but there is still so much left to do. This year, I ask for your generosity once again so that, together, we can one day make pediatric cancer a crisis of the past.
