Why do I ski? I ski for the young children who never in a million years should be dealing with that they are. I ski to make sure every single child has a chance to grow up great. I ski to make a real difference in the lives of thousands of children. I ski to be a game changer so the Sens Foundation can help the:
- 1 in 5 children who live in poverty in our Nation's Capital; many of whom don't have access to after-school or recreation programs for various reasons. Kids like Raphie & Miko
more than 65,000 children who visit the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario's (CHEO) emergency room every year. CHEO also has over 6,200 admissions, conducts over 7,000 surgeries and has 170,000 clinical visits every year.
families of Roger's House, a paediatric residential hospice with respite and end of life care and grief and bereavement supports..
Most of us cannot really imagine the challenges these children face – be it dealing with a disease or special needs – every day of their lives. Our challenge pales in comparison: just 24 short hours of effort and fun… all for a wonderful cause.
Not only does 24h Tremblant support the Sens Foundation, they also supports several other charities, all of whom's mission is to help children in need. Over the years 24h Tremblant has made a huge difference in the lives of sick, underprivileged or special-needs children for years through the financial support of four foundations: The Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau, the Ottawa Senators Foundation, the Martin-Matte Foundation and the Tremblant Foundation.
